Camping with boats

Camping at the lake solves the hardest part of a paddle trip: getting the boat to the water. No roof rack? Rent at a marina and paddle from there.

Corps campground rules worth knowing

  • Bring a card; most Corps fee areas are cashless.
  • Gate hours apply. Victoria's gate is closed 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., so plan late arrivals around it.

Don't own a boat? Rent a kayak or paddleboard from Murphs Surf Shop at Little River Marina or Glade Marina, with live prices and booking online.
